ব্যাখ্যা
(a) you should/might fail in the examination: 'Lest' যুক্ত ক্লজে সাবজেক্টের পর auxiliary verb হিসেবে should বা might বসে।
(b) you would have surely talked about it: এটি একটি Third Conditional বাক্য ($If + past perfect, sub + would have + v3$)।
(c) we are still making every possible effort: 'Though' (যদিও) যুক্ত বাক্যের পরের অংশটি বিপরীত অর্থবোধক হয়।
(d) (that) he did not study more attentively: 'Provided (that)' অর্থ 'যদি'। এটি শর্তযুক্ত বাক্য গঠনে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(e) when the train began to depart: 'Scarcely had... when' একটি কো-রিলেটিভ কনজাংশন। Scarcely যুক্ত অংশটি past perfect হলে when যুক্ত অংশটি past simple হয়।
(f) cannot be blotted: এটি একটি বিখ্যাত প্রবাদ বাক্য (Proverb), যার অর্থ 'কপালে যা আছে তা খণ্ডানো যায় না'।
(g) we created strict laws: 'It is high time' এর পরে সাবজেক্ট থাকলে পরবর্তী ভার্বটি past simple (v2) ফর্মে হয়।
(h) She shouts and runs around: 'As if' এর পরে 'were' থাকলে আগের অংশটি present simple টেন্সে হয়।
(i) a school for underprivileged children: বাক্যের অর্থপূর্ণ সমাপ্তির জন্য একটি উপযুক্ত object/phrase ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।
(j) he was deeply absorbed in his studies: 'So I didn't disturb him' অংশটির সাথে সামঞ্জস্য রেখে একটি কারণবাচক ক্লজ বসানো হয়েছে।
