Read the text and fill in the gaps with correct form of verbs as per subject and context :
Change (a) — (be) the order of nature because we know the proverb that old order changes (b) — (yield) place to the new. So, nothing (c) — (remain) new forever. The same we (d) — (notice) in entertainment also. Old and traditional forms (e) — (change) and (f) — (modify) by new and modern forms of entertainment. Many of them (g) — (exist) any longer. Today TV channels and satellite (h) — (supersede) radio; similarly band and pop music (i) — (replace) our popular old songs. Football (j) — (lose) its appeal day by day. Cricket and other games (k) — (become) more and more popular. Our idea about the popularity of entertainment also (l) — (change). ব্যাখ্যা
(a) is: চিরন্তন সত্য বা অভ্যাসগত কর্ম প্রকাশে Present Simple ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(b) yielding: একটি বাক্যে দুটি ভার্ব থাকলে এবং উদ্দেশ্য না বোঝালে দ্বিতীয় ভার্বটির সাথে -ing যুক্ত হয় (Present Participle)।
(c) remains: 'Nothing' সিঙ্গুলার সাবজেক্ট হিসেবে কাজ করে, তাই ভার্বের সাথে 's' যুক্ত হয়েছে।
(e) have been changed / (f) modified: বিনোদনের মাধ্যমগুলো নিজে নিজে পরিবর্তিত হয় না, বরং মানুষের দ্বারা হয়, তাই এটি Passive Voice এ হয়েছে।
(g) don't exist: বর্তমান পরিস্থিতির নেতিবাচক বর্ণনা দিতে negative present simple ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
(h) have superseded / (i) have replaced: কোনো কাজ এইমাত্র শেষ হয়েছে বা বর্তমান প্রভাব আছে বোঝাতে Present Perfect ($have/has + v3$) বসে।
(j) is losing / (k) are becoming: 'Day by day' বা 'more and more' থাকলে সাধারণত Present Continuous টেন্স হয়।
(m) looking / (n) getting: 'Start' ভার্বের পর পরবর্তী ভার্বটি gerund (v+ing) হতে পারে। আবার 'and' দ্বারা যুক্ত হওয়ায় (n) নম্বরটিও একই ফর্মে হয়েছে।
