(a) সহজ কাজই অসম্ভব হলে কঠিনতর ক্ষেত্রে তুলনা করতে 'let alone' ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(b) একটি কাজ শেষ হতে না হতেই অন্যটি শুরু হওয়া বোঝাতে 'No sooner had...than' বসে।
(c) কোনো বিষয় বা পরিস্থিতির পরিবর্তে Introductory 'it' ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
(d) কোনো কিছুর বাহ্যিক চেহারা বা আকৃতি সম্পর্কে জানতে 'What does...look like' বসে।
(e) কাউকে কোনো কাজ করার জন্য জোরালো পরামর্শ দিতে 'had better' ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(f) দুটি কাজের মধ্যে একটিকে বেছে নেওয়া (than যুক্ত বাক্য) বোঝাতে 'would rather' বসে।
(g) কোনো কিছুর অস্তিত্ব বা অবস্থান প্রকাশ করতে introductory 'There' বসে।
(h) বিনয়ের সাথে কাউকে কোনো প্রস্তাব দিতে 'Would you mind' (V+ing সহ) বসে।
(i) কারো জন্ম সাল বা সময় উল্লেখ করতে 'was born' ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(j) কোনো গুণ বা ক্ষমতার পর্যাপ্ততা বোঝাতে Adjective-এর পরে 'enough' বসে।
